On Friday 19th August, Reach Robotics attended industry nights for the University of Wollongong Women in Stem (WiSTEM) society and the University of Sydney Undergraduate Engineering Association.
The UOW WiSTEM society aims to achieve a transformative, systematic and sustained change towards gender equality in Australia’s STEM sector. The industry night connects female students with industry leaders, such as Reach Robotics. Our representatives had a great time chatting with the UOW students and showing off the Reach Alpha, Reach Control and Master Arm.
Similarly, the Sydney University Engineering Undergraduate Association Industry Night connects University of Sydney Engineering Undergraduate students with industry supporters. The Reach Robotics representatives enjoyed connecting with the students, including a former Reach Robotics intern!
At Reach Robotics, we understand that it can be difficult to determine future career pathways while still a student. This is why we are committed to supporting university societies and groups, inviting students to work with us and experience the versatility of industry environments. We also host seasonal summer and winter internships to help foster young talent and often use our internship programs as a launch pad for graduate careers.
Reach Robotics sponsors the UOW Women in STEM Society, the Sydney Uni Mechatronics Society and the USYD Rocketry Team. We also maintain relationships with many other societies for events such as the Sydney University Engineering Undergraduate Association and the UNSW Mechatronics Society. If you’re a university group seeking industry affiliation, please email [email protected] with details.
