Reach Robotics conducted successful radiation testing on 17th February 2020 at the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO) – ansto.gov.au.
ANSTO is Australia’s centre of expertise on nuclear science and technology. The internationally renowned institute operates to benefit and protect the Australian people and environment, as well as providing cutting edge information, products and services to global audiences.
Conducting radiation testing on Reach Robotics products is important for validating our solutions in nuclear environments. The successful test results allow Reach Robotics to provide solutions for existing nuclear customers in Europe and the UK, while providing confidence for future nuclear clients. Establishing confidence through testing and evaluation is essential for our customers who require a high level of reliability when conducting nuclear inspection and intervention. Thanks to the expertise of key staff at ANSTO, the radiation test event validated the use of their facilities for testing of Reach Robotics manipulators, providing a path forward for future nuclear testing. We look forward to continuing to develop the most advanced robotic arms for harsh environments, enabling operators to safely conduct remote operations with success.
Thanks again to the team at ANSTO!
