Detecting false values_Campbellsci论坛问答

I'm pretty new to the CR1000 so this may be a no-brainer question but here it is.
Is there any way to have the data logger disregard invalid data? As a test, I've deliberately disconnected one leg of a diff input signal to the datalogger and observed the readings for a couple of hours. They're all over the place - sometimes going negative (which is obviously bad data) but other times appearing to be normal, though highly variable. If this was data from an analyzer, I might easily by mistake consider some of it to be valid even though it isn't. Is there a way to have the CR1000 issue an error message by sensing an open connection to an input channel.
thanks - ute

There is an open circuit test open available for some range codes. See section 4.2.4.3 of the CR1000 manual.

Thanks T-D. This looks like what I was looking for. I'll give it a try. --ute
