I'm currently running PC208W on a VMWare Fusion virtual XP pro SP3 machine on a MacBook to harvest my weather and utility data, and except for crashing frequently and having to be restarted, it works pretty well. Or at least better than carrying another computer around, or trying to reboot into BootCamp or something else...
VMWare has just released Version 3 of Fusion. Fusion is supposedly is much faster with _new_ installs of Windows, so I'm going to have to rebuild the VM anyway, and I'm contemplating installing Win7 instead of Yet Another XP Machine.
Does anyone have any experience with PC208W on Win7? Do I need to get Win7 Pro or Ultimate and run it under XP/VM mode?
Thanks for any thoughts! Yeah, OSX support would be Keen(TM), but so would World Peace. 8*)

Many Thanks in advance for any thoughts!
AFAIK, we have done no testing of PC208W on Windows 7 (and that testing would normally come out of my group so unless someone was curious, we haven't even installed it on Win 7 :)
I think one of the biggest concerns would be that PC208W is a 16-bit application, and I have no idea what kind of support Windows 7 offers for 16-bit aps. You can double my concern if you are running the 64-bit OS. I know that Vista still had the NTVDM bits installed and thus I assume Win 7 does as well. However, add the fact that you are running on a MAC, and well... you get whatever crashes you deserve ;)
Have you thought about using PC200W instead of PC208W? PC200W is a no-charge download from our website. If you only need direct connect and no scheduled collection, it might fit your needs.
